Head Coach – Jill Springer
Jill Springer has been coaching summer swimming for more than 20 years. She and her family recently moved to Davidsonville from Howard County where she coached the West Howard Swim Team for 13 seasons. During her tenure as head coach, West Howard competed among the top 3 divisions of the 52-team Central Maryland Swim League and grew from 80 swimmers to over 200. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes teaching proper stroke technique which gives swimmers confidence to succeed while having fun at the same time. Jill has grown up in and around pools, swimming for North Baltimore Aquatic Club, Catonsville YMCA and Towson University, and has competed with Maryland Masters for the past 21 years. She currently has 5 national top ten rankings and a YMCA Masters national record. She has also completed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Swim race numerous times and won several awards for finishing in the top three in her age group. Jill is very excited to begin the 2011 summer season with Chase Creek and to meet the club’s swim team families.
